Last night my daughter had a basketball game, and as I was sitting in the stands watching the game I could not help but hear other fans. As I sat there I realized there are all different kinds of
parents fans. I have broken them down into different categories.
First, you have fans that just sit there and do nothing they don’t clap or yell.
Second, you have fans that just talk or as I hear it gossip about everyone. I guess these fans don’t get out much.
Third, you have fans that will clap, cheer, and make some noise, which is fine they are supporting their team.
Fourth, you have fans that will yell, clap, stand up, scream, and make way to much noise. This is the category I fall under. I will stand up especially when my daughter has the ball which I will have to say is a lot. She is the point guard and I am constantly telling her to shoot. It doesn’t matter if she is at half court (which I know she can’t make the shot from that far away) I am always yelling “SHOOT.” I also scream “go baby go.” I wonder if fans from the other team think my daughter’s name is baby.
Fifth, you have fans that yell, scream, clap, stand up, and tell the referee how to call the game. Last night I wanted to tell this one
father fan to be quiet. You know that type of fan I am talking about. The obnoxious dad! A game would not be complete without this fan. Come on people they are 11 and 12.
