One other thing I need to tell ya!!! It's about Emily and her basketball team!
My daughter as most of you know plays basketball, and last night was a tournament game. It was soooo exciting. It was a nail bitter… Sitting on the edge of my seat great game..It was tied most of the game. I was doing what I do best cheering yelling her team to victory. We would make a basket, and they would make a basket. At the last 30 or 40 seconds of the game our team made a basket, so that put us ahead by 2 points. A girl on the other team got the ball and was heading down the court getting ready to do a lay up when she palmed the ball. Palming the ball is a violation in which a player moves their hand under the ball and scoops it while dribbling. The other team made the lay up, but the referee called no basket because of her palming the ball. We got the ball back, and held onto it for the last few seconds of the game. Emily’s team won…. How lucky was that?? Yeah, Emily's team... Her team gets to play the championship game, and maybe bragging rights to be number 1. Keep your fingers crossed they win.

Lori, thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind comments. I get your question emailed and sometimes posted to me all the time. In fact, I am in the process of writing a post to my professional blog on how to do that. With examples of my photos from a $150 point and shoot camera and $3000 DSLR. (and you can go much much higher. Bird and animal photographers will pay $6000 to 10,000 just for a lens and those are used excellent condition prices.)

I am not a technical person. I do not read up or collect cameras. I want all my cameras to work exactly alike (hinse one brand, model I will usually upgrade to new generation.)
Do your research on each brand. I will say that you can't go wrong with Nikon or Cannon. A bridging camera might be the best. Also, you might want to check and see if they still make the fuji finepix bridge cameras. We have one Fuji Finepix 5200. DH gave it to dd. She is 10 and is a wonderful photographer. I think she discovered features in that camera DH did not know it was capable of. And she uses them. She only shoots when we go on vacation. There is no real shutter lag. And once, at Mt. Vernon, I was off shooting a spider in the compost and DH was focusing on something else and we are not sure what happened, (DD was 8 or 9) but we heard all this noise and found her picking up the pieces of this camera off the pavement. She had dropped it and it was in pieces!!!! Yep! DH managed to put it back together and it is still working fine.

It is always helpful to read the manual of any camera that you own. There are also many many photo tips found there.

Hi Lori, Great pics of your property! That basketbal game really does sound like a nail biter. I love games like that. Chase played this year, but every team beat us pretty bad, we had one really good one, but other than that....

Have fun redoing your beach house! Sounds like fun, I would love to see pics! Kristen

That's great! My daughter had a similar game earlier in the season w/ triple OT, but they lost! :O) I wish them luck in the championship. Bet that ref was only popular w/ half the crowd. How often do you get to Nevada?
