Look at these cool frames!!

Now on with my post!

As most of you know, I'm the assistant coach for my daughter's middle school basketball team.  You can go HERE to see how I became the assistant coach, and HERE to read about the tournament.

We are going to have a banquet for the girl's so, I thought it would be neat to make some frames for the girls as a keep sake.

Isn't it way cute?  I think so!

Now let's see how I did this!

I bought 12 frames from Michael's

12 wood frames $1.00 each
12 pictures printed at CVS .28 each
Black spray paint ( I started to use the expensive paint, but realized I had 12 frames to do!  What was I thinking?)
glue gun
12 tags (got from my sister)
2 spools of basketball ribbon (my mom got for me.  I couldn't find any ribbon where I live.)

I spray painted each frame with 2 coats of paint front and back.

I got out my stamps and distressing ink.

I distressed each tag front and back.

I stamped one side with a basketball and the other side with the girls number.

I tied the ribbon to make a bow, and used my glue gun to hold the tag.  I put a dab of glue to the back so the tag would stay..

Didn't they turn out great?  Don't you love what paint can do?

I made 9 frames and ran out of ribbon! I searched and searched with no luck, so what did I do? I called my mom, and guess what she found! Yep, she found me some ribbon! Thanks mom!

These turned out super cute! I made some similar (well, completely different look, but same concept...haha) last summer for my girls group at church. I think they are on my blog somewhere (not sure if I switched them over when I created the new blog). Anyway yours are totally adorable, LOVE the ribbon & the tags.
