My First!

Come take a look at what I did this weekend!!!

I've seen a ton around blogland, but was a bit scared to try my hand at it.  Then I said, why not just give it a try.  I actually made a tassel!!  Come take a look and let me know what you think!

I made the tassel for Easter!  I tried it on apothecary jar.  Didn't like it there...

I tired it on my lamp!  I liked it there, but Emily didn't...  So I moved it again!!!

It's now on our bathroom door knob...

So what do you think of my first tassel???  I've been bitten by the tassel bug!!!  I think I should have added more ribbon, but for the first not bad...  I'm heading out today at lunch to buy more stuff to make another tassel...

I'm linking to some parties today:  Go HERE and see the other lovely ladies!

It did turn out well. I haven't made any yet either, but I've bought a boat-load of ribbon. Now, I'm always looking for things to make the top part out of...I like it hanging on the door best too. It must be a southern thing b/c I have tassels hanging from every door handle and cabinet in my house. We should have a tassel party! :O)

Your tassel is adorable! I attempted to make a Santa tassel at Christmas. It was scary! He looked like that scary octopus face guy from Pirates of the Caribbean. NO BUENO! Definitely a craft fail for me! ha

Oh so glad you posted this. I have been wanting to try my hand at one of these too but haven't yet. I really like your idea of using the egg as a finial. Very clever. I'm inspired.
